Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) came into my life out of the blue.

It has been a fast moving love affair ever since.

Physically, SUP offers a full body workout and is particularly effective for increasing core stability and strength.

SUP can also be a deeply therapeutic, meditative practice. From a psychological perspective we are finding out more and more that the benefits of being on, near, or in water are big. You can read a bit more about this here.

I am a qualified SUP instructor and SUP yoga teacher. I am registered with the British Stand Up Paddleboard association and a member of the international SUP yoga alliance.

I founded and run SUP @ Islington, a social business based at the Islington Boat Club in North London. Here we offer SUP lessons, tours, yoga, parties, events (and anything else we can think of that sounds good with 'SUP') Our season runs from April - October inclusively and we are looking to expand and grow as we move into 2018. The SUP club here is community focused and filled with good vibes. We paddle to support the charitable work of the Islington Boat Club.

a dream / an idea / a lifestyle

Is what SUP with soul is right now. It is in part the SUP coaching I already do and the business I run but I have a sense there is something bigger to be created here. So watch this space!

My dream is to combine paddling, adventures, body work, therapy, holistic outdoor living, yoga, coaching and community projects into something real and really magical. I have no idea what this will look like yet. But it is a seed I have planted.

To find out more about SUP and mindfulness or adventure based therapy or the psychology of water, head over to the blog - this is also the space my dreams hang out.
